Our unique lineup for the tasting included some of our most expressive spirits - and we needed all that in such great company.

event recap: bottle tops at franklin hobart

Last Sunday the crema of Australian natural wine makers dropped in to
Franklin Hobart
for the inaugural BOTTLE TOPS wine tasting for trade and consumers.

What a party! With the wines of Tom Shobbrook, Lucy Margaux, Travis Tausend, Sam Vinciullo, Patrick Sullivan and Gentle Folk (47 total!) represented, there's no wonder that people were feeling good on such lively drinks.

We were extremely grateful for the opportunity to bring a unique lineup of spirits to the event. Three moscato distillates from different countries, cultures, aesthetics, makers...were enough to keep us busy and the lucky punters enthused.

That's right, we showed WAQAR PISCO, STÄHLEMÜHLE AQUA VITAE & ROMANO LEVI GRAPPA - all spirits of moscato wines, all hugely aromatic, and vastly different in their expression.

Thanks to Forbes Appleby and David Moyle for putting on a great show, thanks to all of the other producers for making it a day to remember, and thanks especially to the enthusiastic Dark MOFOers who took a day out to come and make this all worth while.

See you next year!
